Mid Level Staff Engineer or Geologist
Walnut Creek, CA (Near San Francisco) - Full-time

AEI Consultants is currently seeking a full-time Mid-Level Staff Engineer or Geologist for our Walnut Creek, California location (near San Francisco). The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in performing and managing various aspects of Environmental Subsurface Investigation and Remediation services. We are seeking a professional, dedicated, and enthusiastic addition to a collaborative office environment.  The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Soil, groundwater, and soil vapor investigation experience, including field techniques and report preparation
  • Experience with environmental remediation system operation and maintenance, groundwater and soil vapor monitoring, and familiarity with common remediation technologies; system design and installation experience a plus
  • Environmental due diligence investigations and related research
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of environmental investigations and of environmental regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to work in a team environment and be an individual contributor
  • Must be a self-starter, resourceful, and have the ability to work productively and independently on multiple projects at a time under strict deadlines with guidance from senior staff

Mid Level Environmental Project Staff
Mesa, AZ - Full-time

AEI Consultants is currently looking for full-time Mid Level Environmental Project Staff for our Mesa, Arizona location. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in the performance of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (PHI ESAs) and will have superior writing skills. Performance of similar due diligence types of work will be required in conjunction with PHI ESAs under the supervision of an Environmental Professional. We are seeking a professional, dedicated, enthusiastic addition to a collaborative office environment with the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Experience (3+ years) performing PHI ESAs
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering or geology-related science
  • Have extensive knowledge and experience in assessing various property types (including but not limited to gas stations, dry cleaners, printing facilities, industrial and manufacturing sites, and automotive repair and body shops)
  • Experience in evaluating all types of environmental regulatory cases, such as Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST), State Hazardous Wastes, Envirostor, CERCLIS, and NPL sites
  • State regulatory knowledge is a plus
  • Experience with Phase II Subsurface Investigations and/or Remediation Work is a plus
  • Excellent writing skills are a MUST
  • Be extremely organized and have great multi-tasking skills
  • Personable and able to communicate with people at all levels

Job Description: 

  • Responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities
  • Maintain and update key prospect list and customer database
  • Must have the ability to quickly learn and understand environmental services industry 
  • Manage client accounts for new and existing clients
  • Actively network and participate in trade and professional organizations, as well as with established business partners and entities

Mid to Senior Level Property Condition Assessment Manager
Southern California Region: Los Angeles or Irvine, CA – Full-time

AEI Consultants is currently looking for a full-time Mid to Senior Level Property Condition Assessment Manager for our Los Angeles or Irvine locations. The ideal candidate for this position is a licensed architect or engineer, with a willingness to apply knowledge and skills in conducting Property Condition Assessments (PCAs) and other related services. Responsibilities include reviewing and editing (Senior Authoring) PCA reports conducted by PCA staff, as well as review of as-built plans and construction drawings, public records research regarding building and fire code violations, preparing cost estimates for building systems needing repair or replacement, and writing clear, concise reports. We are seeking a professional, dedicated, enthusiastic addition to a collaborative office environment with the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Experience (7+ years) performing PCAs and/or Senior Authoring
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, ideally architecture, engineering, and/or construction

Senior Level Environmental Project Manager
Southern California Region: Los Angeles, CA – Full-time

AEI Consultants is currently seeking a full-time Senior Level Environmental Project Manager for our Los Angeles, California location. The ideal candidate is a Geologist or Engineer with 8+ years of experience in the performing and managing of Environmental Site Investigation and Remediation services. We are seeking a professional, dedicated, and enthusiastic addition to a collaborative office environment to provide leadership and mentorship to staff, manage client engagements and support AEI’s growth.  The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Soil, groundwater, and soil vapor investigations, including project design and estimating, field techniques, and reporting

  • Leading a team of staff and professionals on a wide range of project types and budgets
  • Environmental geology, hydrology, engineering, data management and modeling, corrective action feasibility evaluation and plan preparation
  • Field / pilot testing, installation oversight, and operations and maintenance of a variety of remediation technologies
  • Environmental due diligence investigations, risk assessments, brownfields and redevelopment consulting
  • California registered professional civil engineer (PE) or professional geologist (PG) required; advanced degree a plus
  • In depth knowledge of California and federal environmental laws and regulations; experience with Southern California regulatory agencies (LAFD, LACoFD, RWQCB, etc.) strongly preferred
  • Experience with fuel and solvent spill sites required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills a MUST
  • Flexibility to work in a team environment and be an individual contributor; willingness and ability to perform a wide range of project tasks, as necessary (i.e., client management, cost estimating, business development support, field work, report writing and review, etc.)
